You are right about the ritual and the need to be aware.Jack Stephenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03193492448738760460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-720063388839421949.post-21776355960603802832011-04-12T02:39:39.775-04:002011-04-12T02:39:39.775-04:00I stumbled across your blog via another blog. I wa...I stumbled across your blog via another blog. I was touched by this story. I already suspected why Giovanni had not told you ahead of time. It's so true about people being disconnected from thier food. Here in the U.S. especially. I just watched a special on Temple Grandin. She is the autistic woman who is very gifted with animals and feeling thier energy. She designed the new kinder animal kill. It keeps the animal calm up until the time of death. So the other cows are not spooked. Finally, people are starting to care, once they are shown some of the inhumane slaughter houses, these poor animals, end up being raised in. It is nice to see your friend and his family, have never taken it for granted. While necessary, it is a ritual, and we all should be required to know and feel this, before just consuming our way through everything. Thanks for sharing the story. Looks like a lovely place.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10668006384094584308noreply@blogger.com
